When Mr. Ridhwan briefed us, he mentioned that we were allowed to adjust or reinterpret the storyline. After discussing with Yingxuan, we agreed to simplify the cast and place stronger emphasis on the kettle as the central focus.
The environment shown in the video gave off the impression of an older apartment block, so I gathered visual references that matched that tone for both the setting and the characters. Once the overall direction felt consistent, I began organizing the story flow. After Yingxuan finished creating the floor plan using an online platform, I (Tee Zi Tong) proceeded to draw and finalized the storyboard.
In Week 9, we presented our progress to Mr. Ridhwan. He was generally satisfied, but he suggested that our location references should be clearer, as some parts were still slightly confusing. He also reminded us to standardize the format of our scene breakdown, especially the description section, where a few details were incomplete.
Working on the 360° video proposal gave me the opportunity to understand how important clarity and consistency are during the pre-production stage. While developing the story direction with Yingxuan, I learned how refining characters and focusing on a key object—the kettle—can strengthen the narrative. Searching for location and character references also helped me think more critically about visual mood and how it supports storytelling.
After Yingxuan completed the floor plan, I created the storyboard, which allowed me to translate our ideas into visual sequences. Presenting our progress in Week 9 and receiving feedback from Mr. Ridhwan made me realize that even small details, like clear location references and consistent formatting, can greatly improve the final proposal. Overall, this project helped me improve my planning, communication, and visual development skills.
